These are short (3 day) getaways with minimal programming, but all-inclusive, so you can deep dive into yourself and come back renewed and revitalized. In some cases, a Mindfulness Getaway can be truly life changing. The program is organized so you’ll only need to take off Thursday and Friday from work. You arrive on a Wednesday evening and enjoy a nice welcome reception and get your “mindfulness gear”.

Unlike a typical “silent retreat”, a Mindfulness Getaway allows you some time to socialize–if you want to–and also time to work privately one-on-one with a mindfulness coach who can help you process what you’re discovering and learn new skills that can help bring mindfulness into your everyday life. Included are experiences like: journaling, ideal life visioning and goal achievement, daily yoga, gourmet meals and snacks, Forest Bathing, Beach Meditation, therapeutic massage, and time for rest and relaxation. Then, you depart on Sunday after a gourmet brunch to have a day to transition back into your regular life. You’ll find that Maya Angelou’s words ring true:

Mindfulness Getaway: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who is this Getaway for?

A: The Getaway is for individuals seeking to know themselves better, seeking genuine, positive change in their lives, or seeking increased peace and fulfillment.

Q: How long is the Getaway?

A: Arrival is on Wednesday evening. The Getaway is all day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Departure is on Sunday morning.

Q: What included in the rate?

A: Everything you will need is included in the rate (materials, facilitators, meals, lodging). The rate is due in full at the time of booking and nonrefundable within 14 days of arrival.

Q: What’s different about this getaway compared to others?

A: This getaway is an individual experience limited to only 5 participants. All lodging is single occupancy in luxury suites and cottages for a truly indulgent mindfulness experience.

Q: Do I have to be experienced with meditation to do this?

A: No, first timers are welcome as well as those experienced with meditation.

Q: What does my facilitator do?

A: During the getaway, you will meet with your facilitator once daily. Your facilitator provides tools along with a confidential time and place for individual processing during your program. Your facilitator is not a counselor, therapist, or mental health worker. Your program will not include counseling or therapy. Your facilitator is a coach whose job is to help you succeed.

Q: What can I expect?

A: You will receive one short book explaining mindfulness meditation. You can expect a quiet, retreat experience that allows you to work safely and privately using methodologies (mindfulness, meditation, bodywork, awareness exercises) backed by the current science of human understanding, and mind-body-spirit connection.

Q: Is this a religious retreat?

A: This is not specifically religious. No doctrine is being promoted, and your own religious or spiritual beliefs will be honored in your program.

Q: Can I do this with a friend or partner?

A: Yes, but this is a highly individual program with single occupancy lodging, and there is little to no time for socializing during the three full days of your program. You will get the most benefit by spending time focused exclusively on yourself.
